Registration to the Postgraduate Certificate in Risk Analysis in Health and Food Safety: is closing soon!

We would like to remind you that the deadline for registration to the Postgraduate Certificate course in Risk Analysis in Health and Food Safety, starting March 2014, is approaching fast. The course has received great interest and we already have many registered candidates, so register now on UKPASS to ensure that you get a place!

The emphasis of this program is in cutting-edge quantitative risk analysis. The students will develop hands-on work skills, tailored to their professional and development needs and will have the option to use their personal work assignments as part of the course. Two short on-site modules, an online practical module and remote examinations are offered to accommodate the schedule of busy professionals, as well part-time study. Applicants with prior knowledge in risk analysis can also apply for an exemption from Module 1 (and discounted fee).

Introduction to Quantitative Risk Analysis Course

Our ever popular QRA course will take place in Boulder, CO from March 18 – 20, 2014.The course will cover the basic principles of quantitative risk analysis and the most important risk modeling techniques. Participants will learn to work with risk analysis modeling environments (in this case @RISK or Crystal Ball with Excel, but the lessons apply equally well to other modeling environments). The focus of the course is on how to conduct accurate and effective quantitative risk analysis, including best practices of risk modeling, selecting the appropriate distribution, using data and expert opinion, and avoiding common mistakes. In addition, the course will cover essential probability and statistics theory and various stochastic processes to provide course participants with a solid understanding of quantitative risk analysis.

EpiX Analytics in 2013 and moving forward

This has been an exciting year for us. We’ve continued to work with a number of long-term clients as well as collaborated with numerous new clients in industries that include pharmaceuticals, public health, food safety, oil and gas, hygiene technology, animal health, and manufacturing.

In addition to our consultancy, we’ve collaborated with both industry and academia on some innovative research projects and look forward to continuing to push the edge in applied risk analysis research.

Finally, we’ve enjoyed providing training and giving seminars in risk analysis, including a successful new strategic partnership with JIFSAN and continuous academic collaboration with the RVC, University of London, both of which have been sponsored by the Society for Risk Analysis . While the majority of our classes are onsite at client locations, we’ve taught several of our popular classes and given a number of open seminars and presentations including:
