Participants QRA and Disease modeling course, May 2019

Thank you for the highly polished course, the high quality teachings, the multiple examples, the supporting material and the numerous examples in R. Thank you for your excellent recommendations on how to get to Fort Collins (Groome Transportation were very well organized) and where to stay (it was lovely to stay at the Armstrong Hotel). Thank you so much for a wonderful learning experience. I really enjoyed my week and will highly recommend your class.

The class was incredibly well structured and well delivered. I have never worked in with epidemiology so I was overwhelmed at first with the information. However the class was taught by instructors who clearly had a deep understanding of the field and made the process understandable to someone who had no idea such as myself. Although at times I did struggle with the information everyone was willing to take time and help me.

It was a great training. I am eager to use these techniques in my current work.

This is one of the best courses I've taken. It provides the building blocks of risk analysis in an understandable and useful manner.

This course is great; it really gives you the tools to embrace your own work. The hands-on approach that this course provides will give you the ability to conduct and troubleshoot your own research. I would strongly recommend this course for beginners and not so beginners. If you are already on the field, this course will give you a good refresher of the probability behind QRAs.

Joaquin Baruch, PhD student

This was an excellent hands-on intensive course in risk analysis and disease modeling. Despite a limited statistics background I came away with a great understanding of and new skill set for addressing risk issues and modeling diseases. Thanks for the course!

Brandon Hayes, Epidemiologist

Very good introductory course on risk assessment for PhD students. Each lesson taught at the course helps build and expand on basic concepts in probability statistics and risk assessment, Hence, I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in doing risk assessments. It was a great course, and I really enjoyed attending it and learnt a lot from it.
